We need more coaches!  Why not have fun and make a difference in your child's life by volunteering your time and coaching his/her team?  Do you want to apply to coach or assistant coach a Recreational Soccer Team?  Then read on!

Apply to be a soccer coach:

Fill out and mail us the CYSA Adult Registration & Team Management Disclosure Form by June 1st or drop it off at one of our Registration events.  Print 3 copies, and fill them out with a blue ink pen.

You will be notified after Team Formation in mid-June as to whether or not you have been assigned a team.

Coach Training

New for 2008!  EDYSL has it's own coach training program, delivered by the EDYSL Academy.  These courses are focused on providing coaches age group appropriate, practical and useful training. 

 

The following coach license requirement are enforced for recreation teams:

Age Group	Minimum License Required
U6	EDYSL U6 Coach Diploma
U8	EDYSL U8 Coach Diploma
U10	EDYSL U10 Coach Diploma
U12-U19	EDYSL U12+ Coach Diploma & CYSA F License

U6 4v4 Games

We will be playing our U-6 games in a "small-sided" 4V4 format.  Please refer to three files in the Download area that will explain how those games will operate.  The main benefits to this program is first to increase the number of player touches, and second, have less players on the field to minimize bunching up.
