High
Sierra Soccer Club encourages our Select
Teams (and if time slots are available,
Recreational Teams) to participate in the
EDYSL Academy.
The EDYSL Academy was
established in 2006 to provide additional
player and coach development, with the
objective of increasing the level of play in
the Select Program.
The EDYSL Academy is
operated by Phil Albury's company Global
Soccer Solutions.
Player Development
Program Benefits:
-
Staff of Global
Soccer Solutions will assist coaches
with the designing of practice sessions
and with executing those practice
sessions by attending one practice each
week, commencing the first week of June
and concluding the last week of October.
-
Each team to be
able to send a maximum of 2 goal keepers
to attend the Goal Keeping Academy
-
A staff member will
attend a minimum of 4 home games during
regular league play (subject to
logistics)
-
Individual player
evaluations at the end of the season
-
Team evaluation at
the end of the season
-
Complimentary
training for all teams participating in
the District Cup or Association Cup
(subject to logistics and weather)
Coach Development
Program Benefits:
-
Provide written
feedback of teams' performance to
include match analysis
-
Provide coaches
with copies of all session plans
delivered
-
Provide coaches and
players with pre, half time and post
match input.
-
Increase the
coaches' knowledge of the game by
identifying problems being presented
during the game
Fee:
The fee is $300 per
player on the team for weekly participation. Also there is an optional 5
day camp available. We feel the value the
program provides is well worth the cost.
Therefore, in an effort to make this
affordable to everyone the league and the
clubs will be working hard to create fund
raisers to off-set these cost.
