What is Select Soccer?
Our Select Soccer Program is 'CYSA Division III soccer', which is one level above the CYSA Division IV Recreation Program that makes up the majority of our club's players.

 

Select soccer gives advanced players a chance to experience a more ambitious level of soccer than is offered in our Recreation Program, and introduce players to tournaments. Select is NOT the same as Competition (aka 'Comp').  See the Competition web page for information on Competition play that is available with other regional soccer clubs.

 

Our Select Soccer Program

For the second year, High Sierra Soccer Club and Sierra Gold Soccer Club will have one combined select soccer program.  This year, Gold Nugget Soccer Club has also joined the combined program.

 

Last year, for the first time in the history of both clubs we had a complete program of U10 Boys, U10 Girls, U12 Boys, U12 Girls, U14 Boys, U14 Girls, and U19 Girls.  This year we also will have U16 Girls and Boys teams.   Having a complete program is critical for being able to improve the program year after year as kids move up.  We would not be able to achieve this without having a combined program.

 

Like last year, Sierra Gold Soccer Club will administrate the program.  Coaches from all three clubs are encouraged to apply for a coaching position.  Players from all three clubs are encouraged to try out.
